Projects
Levoča
The Jewish cemetery in Levoča is among the largest in the region, with an area of more than 3,700 m². It is in a state of disrepair, which is why in August 2025 we began its gradual restoration. In doing so, we are building on earlier activities, when scouts and volunteers removed part of the overgrowth. In August 2025, we expanded the work to include a more thorough cleaning of the grounds.

Project Stages:
- Stage 1 (until October 2025): thorough clearing of overgrowth, tall grass, and self-seeded trees.
- Stage 2 (April – May 2026): removal of hazardous old and dry trees, pruning existing trees to a safe condition.
- Stage 3 (until October 2026): replacement of the gate, repair and partial replacement of the fencing, and making the access road from the gate usable.
- Stage 4 (until August 2028): restoration of existing graves and tombstones.
- Stage 5 (in the planning stage): construction of a pathway to ensure safe movement within the area.
The planned completion of all works is in 2028.
